We have tested many optics side by side, and in more than one case the less expensive Arken has been on par with scopes 2-3x the cost. For custom builds we always discuss optics; for many off-the-shelf builds we use what we would spend our own money on. You will also see newer-tech options like Pard and Burris in some builds.

Yes, we sell NFA items. We will make a suppressor recommendation with any custom package. With an existing trust the process is quick (1-3 business days); without one we will help you through the paperwork (2-8 weeks depending on ATF turnaround).

Absolutely. Beyond commercial ammo, we offer Big John’s Custom Loads. Submit a request and you will receive a quote with pricing and turnaround time. Big John only sells through Custom Shooting Solutions.

If within 30 days of shipping you would like to return a custom firearm, we will take it back — either 100% credit toward another custom firearm or a full refund minus a 20% restocking fee (both excluding shipping and FFL fees). Off-the-shelf firearms, accessories, and ammunition follow a no-return policy consistent with most retailers.

We are open to this on a case-by-case basis. If you want to see our process first hand, we love making new friends and sharing time with like-minded folks.

If you prefer hands-on training or in-person fine-tuning, we can accommodate requests as scheduling permits, provided you have suitable facilities available.

We ship firearms anywhere they are legal. We gather shooter-specific details up front. When your firearm arrives you have 30 days to confirm it works for you; minor adjustments can be documented and the firearm shipped back to us directly, and we will return it to your FFL.

That is totally fine. We are happy to acquire any firearm and will do our best to be cost competitive. We can quote most commercially available firearms — just e-mail us or complete the questionnaire.

Prices are based on the cost of materials and time spent on the project. We provide quotes up front for 2-3 options; a deposit is required before we order components, and final payment is due prior to shipping (or pickup if you are local to Saint Louis, MO).

Start by filling out the questionnaire. Within a couple business days we will reach out by phone, text or e-mail to discuss the project. Depending on the build it could be complete in 7-10 days or take several weeks if custom work is involved.

Yes — we are a licensed FFL dealer and accept transfers for firearms purchased online or out of state. Transfers are $30 per item, by appointment. See our FFL Transfers page for the full process and what to bring.
